About

Enviro Civil Solutions

Enviro Civil Solutions is a specialist land-clearing and civil earthworks contractor delivering safe, efficient and responsive services across Queensland. We combine the right machines, the right attachments and experienced operators to complete difficult work in tight timeframes and hard-to-reach terrain.

Major contractors, government clients and regional project owners rely on us to keep programs moving. We mobilise quickly, particularly for emergency storm and flood events, using wheeled excavators and dedicated transport so we can establish access, clear debris and make sites safe with minimal delay.

As a majority Indigenous-owned business, registered with Supply Nation, we bring local knowledge, cultural awareness and a strong commitment to respectful engagement on Country. Our team can preserve, collect, return and relocate Indigenous artefacts and sacred sites using culturally appropriate approaches, working alongside Traditional Owners and project stakeholders.

Every job is underpinned by robust systems and disciplined site practice. We prepare SWMS and risk assessments for all tasks, undertake daily pre-starts and toolbox talks, and maintain clear communication with site supervisors and project managers. This focus on safety, compliance and documentation helps clients maintain quality, schedule and budget on live, complex sites.

Garry Herbert

Managing Director Garry Herbert is a multi-skilled heavy plant operator with more than 50 years of hands-on experience in building, civil earthworks and land-clearing operations. His career spans work on major road upgrades, interchange projects, materials resource management, screening and soil improvement, and high-productivity land clearing and tree shearing in front of grinder trains across Queensland.

Over five decades, Garry has operated and supervised a wide range of plant, including excavators (tracked and wheeled), loaders, dozers, backhoes, track loaders, articulated haul trucks, telehandlers and construction water carts. He holds an extensive suite of tickets and a Construction White Card, reflecting deep technical capability and a strong commitment to safe, compliant operations on every site.

Garry is known for his ability to “read” complex sites, match the right machine and attachment to the job, and lift productivity significantly—often by 50–80% when operations and tooling are optimised. This practical, results-driven approach has seen him trusted by Tier 1 contractors and civil companies to lead land-clearing, grubbing, tree-shearing and materials-handling works on live assets and high-traffic corridors.

As a proud Indigenous business owner, Garry is passionate about opening up opportunities for First Nations participation in a highly specialised part of the civil sector. He is focused on building an Indigenous-owned land-clearing and civil earthworks company that sets the standard for safety, productivity and cultural respect—and on transferring knowledge and skills to the next generation of operators coming through.
